Call of Duty – The Most Successful PC Game
First part of Call of Duty is most famous of its series which is mostly known as excellent game for playing and graphics. It was published by Activision and developed by Infinity Ward. The game has been released on October 29, 2003. The game has won several awards also for its better performances. Basically, it was developed for PC for those systems which requirement was MHz CPU and 128 MB RAM with 1.4GB hard disk. The store of Call of Duty 1 was similar to “Medal of Honor” which is famous as video game. The game you can play as American Soldier as well as British and Soviet solder. So, it has been divided into three campaigns – American Soldier, British Soldier and Soviet Soldier. In each campaign there are some missions to complete the solders. In each campaign there are different characters like - Pvt. Joey Martin in American campaign, Sgt. Jack Evans in British campaign and Pvt. Alexei Ivanovich Voronin in Soviet campaign. In the development of the game, developers are inspired by some movies like - “Band of Brothers”, “The Longest Day” and “Enemy at the Gates”. Call of Duty 1 is the best shooter game based on World War. There are some great weapons also which fire in different modes. There are multiplayer options also to play it. In the multiplayer modes, there are six players. It is featured with “Killcam” which offer to see those players who are defeated through the eyes of opponent in the last 5 seconds. In the game players cannot sprint in game play. In the standing position players are constant so it creates some under fire problems. It was much appreciated game by criticizers and game lovers. Till date, Call of Duty 1 is most successful PC game. The game won the award of - “Game of the Year” in 2003 and “Best Game in 2004” nominated by Game Developers Choice. IGN gave its 9.3 points in out of 10 for its “Shellshock” and “Killcam” special effects.
